Prince Harry plays 'hard-hitting tough guy on the world stage' in latest video message

Prince Harry played the "trophy-clutching, sporting, hard-hitting tough guy on the world stage" during his latest video message, according to a body language expert.

Earlier today, the Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance at the annual general meeting of Travalyst - an initiative he launched back in 2019 as part of attempts to make the travel industry more sustainable.

He spoke via video call from the mansion he shares with Meghan Markle and their childrenin Montecito, demanding action to save the "beating heart" of the travel industry while calling on tourists to look after the environments they visit.

Body language expert Judi James analysed the video for Daily Express US, and believes it shows Harry displaying behavioral traits that "shift in the opposite direction" to recent actions from Meghan.

She said: "If the polo and the jam-making heralded a change of brand for Harry and Meghan, this message by Harry suggests that, while his wife immerses herself in the rather ‘soft’ world of cookery, preserves and friendship, hugging and throwing affectionate smiles at everyone who crosses her path, Harry is shifting in the opposite direction as a trophy-clutching, sporting, hard-hitting tough guy on the world stage.

"He decides to deliver this scripted message to camera in the style of an angry authoritarian.

"Harry begins with his mouth pursed in prim annoyance and when he uses the word ‘ensure’, his right hand comes up in an emphatic baton gesture while his eyebrows raise to create that look of authority.

"He bites at his words despite the fact his eyes can be seen scanning a running script, and his head tilts to hint at the annoyance or frustration with anyone not yet on-message."

James further added: "The word 'entity’ gets a similar over-working as his mouth widens horizontally and his 'We need to work together' comes not with a mimed hug or a smile of unity but a finger baton followed by a sucking in of the lips."

The Duke of Sussex launched Travalyst with Meghan in 2019 - just months before they stepped down as senior working members of the Royal Family.

During his video message, he said: "I urge you to focus on what more can be done to ensure the travel and tourism industry continues to have a license to operate.

Harry added: "Travel and tourism rely on destinations, held together by communities, without which we have nowhere to travel to.

"Communities are the beating heart of travel, and we must do better by the people who are the custodians of the places we visit.
