Royal Mail has shared the exact days and times it delivers across the UK - as well as an easy way to check for delays in your local area.

Royal Mail says it aims to deliver to addresses by 4.30pm every working day, Monday to Saturday. But it notes this does not apply in some remote locations, such as Scotland’s Highlands and Islands, where "transport is limited."

Royal Mail has stated that it does not "usually deliver on bank public and local holidays."

To see when and where their deliveries will be affected, you should check their website for UK public holidays as well as worldwide public holidays on their international incidents page.
