The Mirror reports Meghan wrote to Charles, the then Prince of Wales, about the matter, revealing the identity of the individual who made the remark. But Meghan allegedly was "not satisfied" with the reply which contributed to her decision not to go to the Coronation.

It is understood that Meghan's letter came after Charles reached out, expressing his regret over the family rift and sadness over the split within the family. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their positions as senior working royals in 2020.

Prince Harry at King Charles's Coronation

In the interview with Oprah, Meghan alleged there had been "conversations" and "concerns" about what colour the Sussexes' baby would be.

The Royal Family did not acknowledge the allegations publicly, but during an outing Prince William was asked by a reporter shouting a question and asking if the Royal Family were racist. The Prince firmly responded that they are "not a racist family".

Prince Harry had no formal role in the Coronation service at Westminster Abbey, and he attended the Coronation of his own father alone while Meghan remained in Los Angeles with their children, where their son Prince Archie was celebrating his fourth birthday.

Prince Harry wore a morning suit and medals at the ceremony and he sat with his cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank in the third row.

Two rows ahead in the front were the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

King Charles on his Coronation Day

The Duchess of Sussex is potentially returning to the UK next month to join Prince Harry for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games on May 8. Harry is said to be keen in bringing their children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, to the UK, as well.

Despite her name being said to be on the list of guests, Meghan's name has been marked with 'TBC' [to be confirmed].

Meghan, 42, has not stepped foot on UK soil since 2022 and has made no attempts to carry out any visit to Harry's home country since.

Speaking to GB News, royal expert Angela Levin has warned Harry that, by bringing his wife, he may be risking Meghan "stealing the spotlight" away from himself and, most importantly, the huge milestone.
