Princess Catherine has shared an insight into the family’s morning routine at Forest Lodge - the home they moved into late last year. The Prince and Princess of Wales, alongside their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, upsized to the Georgian mansion just months ago, and seem very happy.

The family have no live-in staff at the home, however they do live with two furry additions - the family dog Orla, and her puppy Otto. While Orla is a very well-behaved dog, it seems that Otto is still very much in the puppy stage.

This means that the puppy needs a lot of attention from the family, with Princess Catherine revealing how he shapes the morning routine.

At a garden party earlier this month at Buckingham Palace, Catherine said that the first thing the family do in the morning is make sure Otto has been let out into the garden.

She explained to one of the party guests: "The first thing we do in the morning is check, 'has anyone taken Otto out?'"

Catherine also said that Otto, who turned one recently, has also "unfortunately" been "chewing quite a lot”.

The future Queen said: "You have to keep them busy.”

A picture of Otto was shared by the family for the first time on social media on May 1 to celebrate his birthday.

Otto is one of the puppies from Orla’s litter last year that the family decided to keep.
