The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales has received a major boost, it has been revealed. The charity has overtook the annual revenues of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Philanthropies in recent years.

Prince William and Princess Catherine appear to be very popular in the US, which is where Harry and Meghan now reside with their two children. The Royal Foundation reportedly pulled in £8.7million from its American office alone in 2025 - which represented 44% of its overall £19.6million income for the year.

Meghan and Harry's charity recorded just £1.93million in revenue in 2024, a decline from the £4.23million raised the previous year.

Archewell Philanthropies is now reportedly undergoing a "reset" following various staff redundancies made in December.

Through The Royal Foundation, William and Catherine have various initiatives - both joint and separately. They have Catherine's Early Years programme for young children, William's Homewards project aimed at ending rough sleeping, as well as United for Wildlife, which was a venture that launched last year to combat illegal animal trafficking.

The Royal Foundation has operated entirely independently from the Earthshot Prize since 2022, with Earthshot previously established "to find, support and celebrate those who turn bold ideas into real solutions to repair our planet."

The Earthshot Prize previously reported a total income of £23.5million for 2024.

This figure showed a 68% surge in donations, rising from £12.8million to £21.4million.

As for Meghan and Harry, Archewell Philanthropies was rebranded from its previous name, the Archewell Foundation, in late 2025.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been feuding with the royals for a number of years, visited the UK last month.
