Health minister Maria Caulfield has confirmed police are looking into an attempt to look up the Princess of Wales's medical records at the London Clinic.

The police are now investigating claims an attempt was made to look up Princess Kate's medical records. Health minister Maria Caulfield said today that officers have been asked to look into the alleged attempt, which occurred at the London Clinic.

The Princess of Wales underwent planned abdominal surgery at the Marylebone hospital in January, and has been in recovery since.

The government minister told LBC Radio: “My understanding is that police have been asked to look at it - whether they take action is a matter for them.”
