A “nightmare” neighbour chopped down half of their own bush following a row over how it was trimmed. Soph Johnson took to TikTok when she became fed up with her neighbour trimming their bush perfectly on their own side of the fence but leaving it overgrown on her property.

Her video posted to the social media app showed the aftermath of the row with the shrubbery looking perfect in her neighbour’s garden but looking a mess in her own driveway.

The post described her neighbour as “petty” and a “nightmare”, with Ms Johnson panning her camera around the unruly bush.

The wording on the video read: "Tell me you've had an argument with next door without telling me you've had an argument with next door.”

But many people in the comments were quick to point out that from a legal perspective, the neighbour could have got in trouble if they had trimmed her side of the bush.

One reply read: “I cut mine like this as it's illegal for me to cut anything that doesn't fall on my side.”

But others called the move “ridiculous” saying it was “sad and selfish” and that they should have just trimmed it all.

A reply read: “For f**** sake, I would cut it even if I fell out with you because it leaves my side looking s***."

Another chimed in: “But it's their hedge? Why didn't they trim it all? Looks ridiculous from their side.”

While another TikTok user said: "It's so petty and really isn't worth it."
