Moment Palestine mob storm Tesco as they demand bewildered shoppers boycott supermarket

Dozens of supermarket shoppers looked on confused after several pro-Palestinian protesters disrupted their weekly shop. The protest took place at a Tesco in Upton Park, east London.

The supermarket protest is understood to have occurred on March 17 but footage was only shared on social media this week. In the video, two women can be seen marching through the supermarket aisles with megaphones while another woman draped in a Palestine flag follows her.

The women use the mega-phone to shout: "Your profits are covered in Palestinian blood!" The protesters call on customers to "boycott Tesco" while Tesco staff monitor the situation.

Another protestor, also wrapped in a Palestinian flag, can be seen with two megaphones strapped above his head with a sign that reads: "Stop killing children."

This is not the first UK Tesco store to be stormed by pro-Palestine protestors in recent months.

Three weeks ago, protesters swarmed the Tesco in Goodmayes, Romford in East London, as they chanted that the supermarket giant has "blood on your hands".

Campaigners have criticised the company for stocking products made in Israel.

In December, protesters slapped 'apartheid' pricing labels on pots of hummus made in Israel in several British supermarkets including Tesco. The label warned customers that buying the Sabra hummus dip was "supporting genocide".

Viewers of the Upton Park video mocked the protest. @_rubberbarron said: "Just your typical English Wednesday afternoon protest in Tesco over a civil war in the Middle East."@uklee asked: "Don’t have a day job to go to?"

This comes amid growing criticism of Israel's war in Gaza, with fears of an imminent invasion of Rafah.

Parliamentary pressure is building on the UK government to ban arms sales to Israel.
