GMB: Guests asked if Meghan was made to feel unwelcome in UK

Meghan Markle has reportedly taken a leaf out of Kate Middleton's parenting book for her upcoming Netflix show.

The Duchess of Sussex announced in March that she would be launching her own lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, with a focus on homewares and kitchen accessories, as well as nut butters, jams and conserves.

It was later revealed that Meghan would feature in a new cooking show on Netflix, as part of her and Prince Harry's whopping £80 million ($100 million) five-year deal with the streaming giant, which would spotlight her new business venture.

Despite the frosty relationship with her sister-in-law, it is said that the Duchess has been "inspired" by Kate's approach to parenting; specifically, her desire to have her and Prince William's three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - alongside her at public appearances.

Meghan and Kate initially had a warm friendship when Harry introduced the former Suits actress to his brother and beloved sister-in-law, but their close bond later deteriorated.

At the time, it was claimed that Meghan had reduced Kate to tears following a disagreement over Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress, which Kate felt was too large and needed adjustments.

A heated exchange ensued, and palace insiders reported that Kate was left weeping after Meghan was purportedly discourteous towards her.

However, in the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the Duchess of Sussex countered by saying it was actually Kate who made her cry, and she had "owned it and apologised".

In an endearing change of heart, Meghan is said to be taking a leaf out of Kate's book regarding motherhood and aims to feature her and Harry's offspring - Prince Archie, aged 4, and Princess Lilibet, aged 2 - in her upcoming Netflix series.

A source confided to OK! magazine that the 42-year-old is keen to emulate the Princess of Wales' approach to gradually introducing their children to the public eye.

"She would love for Archie and Lilibet to make guest appearances on her new show as being a mum is a huge part of her life and wants to show off that part of her world, just like Kate does occasionally when she takes her children to work events," they revealed.

However, Harry is still "traumatised" by the intrusion into his childhood, as well as into his adult life, and the source claims he wants to keep his young children out of the spotlight, which has left the couple at odds over the Netflix show.

"They're in a completely different situation and Archie and Lili are never going to be anonymous and 'normal' kids because of who their parents are, so Meghan is hoping Harry will get on board with her plans soon," the source added.
