Meghan Markle's engagement ring update price tag revealed - it's cheaper than you think

An expert has claimed that Meghan Markle's new and improved engagement ring may have only cost £250 to resize.

Meghan was not seen wearing the ring for months during 2023 as rumours swirled that it could be missing before it was finally seen again in January.

The Duchess was seen wearing it to the premier of Bob Marley: One Love in Jamaica with Prince Harry. She was again seen wearing the updated ring during a trip to Florida in April with Prince Harry.

The ring is made up of two jewels from Princess Diana's collection, but they appeared larger than usual upon its return.

Tony French, the Regional Sales Manager at Austen & Blake, explained how this may have occurred.

He told GB News: "Meghan’s iconic three-stone trilogy engagement ring featuring two diamonds from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection has adorned her finger since 2017.

"It’s garnered much adulation from royal fans and jewellery experts alike for its timeless design and sentimental value. Prince Harry is said to have designed the ring with a centre cushion cut diamond complimented by two smaller stones on either side.

"More recently, Meghan’s engagement ring appears to have undergone a few alterations. It’s unknown exactly what types of alterations have been undertaken, but she seems to have replaced the yellow gold shank of the ring with a sleek diamond-studded band and the central stone has reportedly changed."

He also revealed the price range Meghan would have been looking at to make the alterations and what her possible reasoning behind the changes might've been.

He explained: "The cost of resizing an engagement ring like this could range anywhere between £75 and £250 depending on how many sizes are required and indeed whether it is even possible.

"It usually takes a few hours to a few days at the most, depending on which jeweller or workshop is used. We typically receive requests for ring resizing mostly for changes in finger sizes."
