Meghan Markle receives major blow as she eyes-up UK return

Meghan Markle has been dealt a major blow amid speculation that she could be set to attend London Fashion Week next year. The 44-year-old made a surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week last week, a visit that saw her come out in support of the newly-appointed Balenciaga designer, Pier Paolo Piccioli.

London Fashion Week will take place between February 19 and 23, 2026. Although her appearance hasn't been confirmed, Casino Beats have placed the odds of Meghan's attendance at a current 2/1.

In a poll conducted by the Express, which ran between 4.58am on October 8 and 2.30pm on October 9, fans were asked whether they want to see Meghan attend London Fashion Week in February.

Of the 2,734 people who voted, a huge 2,660 said that they don't want to see her at the major fashion event.

In contrast, just 55 people said they do want to see Meghan attend, with an additional 19 people sharing that they don't know whether they would like to see the Duchess of Sussex in attendance.

If Meghan attends next year, it will be her first public visit to the UK since 2022. Her last visit to the UK involved a few work commitments but was extended following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan joined her husband Prince Harry at the late Queen's funeral on September 19, 2022.

During her appearance in Paris on October 4, Meghan appeared in her element at Balenciaga's Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear show.

A spokesperson for Meghan said that she admired Piccioli's "craftsmanship and modern elegance".

The mum-of-two was also seen greeting Vogue's global editorial director Anna Wintour and Australian film director Baz Luhrmann.
