Meghan Markle, the Duchess Sussex, has recently stirred up a buzz with a revealing new set of pictures that has caught the attention of royal watchers and body language experts alike.

In the snapshot, Meghan is seen alongside two other women, dressed casually in matching t-shirts and posing in a manner that suggests a departure from her usual royal demeanour.

Royal watchers have also spotted a detail about the Duchess of Sussex's engagement ring that has raised eyebrows.

Body language expert Judi James analysed the new pictures of Meghan, in which she poses with former model Kelly McKee Zajfen and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

Judi James claimed Meghan's posture and interactions in the image indicate a deliberate choice to lower her own royal status.

She told Express exclusively: "The three women are dressed alike and they pose in a very even-status way, which hints at a nostalgia for the days when she could just be one of the girls."

She went on: "She even snuggles up at one point, suggesting a touch of vulnerability and the way the fingers are meshed in the hand clasp suggests mutual support here."

This display of warmth and intimacy contrasts sharply with the formalities typically associated with royal engagements.

Judi suggested the images show a "different side" to Meghan, since her early days as Prince Harry's girlfriend and then as his wife.

"When she married Harry, the visual suggestion was that she was totally invested in him as her friend and her husband.

"Their constantly tactile and besotted behaviours were excluding to the outside world. When we saw Meghan, she was only ever with Harry in terms of close relationships."

She added: "Now, though, we are being shown a different side to Meghan, and it’s one that seems to regurgitate the role of a friend from her youth."
