Eyewitnesses spotted this morning a helicopter landing in a park in north Manchester amid reports of a stabbing.

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: "Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Ash Tree Road in Crumpsall this morning.

"On arrival two people have been treated for minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

"Two men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in police custody.

"This is an isolated incident with no risk to the general public."
