Hot weather maps show exact date 30C heat returns to England in August - hottest counties

The UK is bracing up for another "heatwave like situation" as the weather maps show temperatures soaring to 30C in the next few days. The weather maps, which are prepared using the MetDesk data, suggest that scorching conditions will make a return to the UK this weekend before it turns wetter and colder next week.

According to the maps from WXCharts, the sweltering conditions will begin to hit parts of England on Monday, August 25, making it a perfect Bank Holiday weekend for the sun-seeking Brits. Areas in the south-west of England are likely to be most impacted by the hot weather, the maps suggest. The upcoming round of hot weather comes as the country experienced four heatwaves this summer, with the temperature levels soaring to 30C in many towns and cities.

Jim Dale, founder of British Weather Services, told The Express: “I think from Saturday onwards, we will start to feel the heat building, and along with it, the humidity will rise too. The temperatures will begin climbing as well.

“Apart from Northern Ireland—which will see rain later on Bank Holiday Monday—everyone else should get away with it and enjoy a hot, very warm day. That’s essentially what we’re looking at: a quality Bank Holiday weekend.

“However, it’s shaping up to be yet another potential health-warning heatwave situation. It’s pretty much unprecedented, seeing so many of these lately. It’s easily triggered nowadays—climate change is the farmer’s new reality.

“As for the heatwave expected during the Bank Holiday, starting from Sunday, it could be another situation requiring health warnings.”

He added: "Places like Birmingham, down through Crystal Palace, across to London—those areas are in the mix. As the days progress into Monday, the heat will shift more eastward. So I expect the hottest temperatures to be in the London area, East Anglia, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Lincolnshire on Monday—and quite possibly again on Tuesday. After that, it will start to break down and we willl lose the heat."

The weather outlook for Sunday and Monday suggests generally pleasant conditions across most regions, with only a slight chance of a few light showers here and there.

Despite these brief interruptions, the majority of areas can expect clear skies or sunny spells, making for a fairly enjoyable couple of days.

According to the Met Office, temperatures are set to rise gradually, bringing a warmer feel as we move into the start of the week.

However, this settled pattern is expected to shift from Tuesday onwards, with conditions becoming more unpredictable and potentially less stable.
