An easyJet plane has been forced to abort landing at one of the UK's busiest airports. Flight EZY52FR U28530 from Faro was due to land at London Gatwick this afternoon, but strong winds and downpours as a result of Storm Nelson has meant it wasn't possible.

A terrifying video shows the moment the pilot attempted to land the passenger aircraft, with the flight getting just a few metres from the ground before having to take off again.

Storm Nelson, named by Spanish forecasters, has brought chaos to the UK today with snow in Devon and heavy wind and rain elsewhere.

Met Office weather warnings are in place until Friday, with a wind warning covering the south coast and Sussex.
