A shocking fight erupted between two women reportedly caught in a traffic jam in Tameside.

Eyewitnesses claim the scuffle unfolded in Denton around 8am today (April 17), with the incident occurring in full view of morning commuters.

A bystander captured the distressing scene on her phone, alleging one woman "pushed into the queue at the traffic lights" close to the busy junction of Ashton Road and Hyde Road.

Another woman then "told her to get out of her" and was "screaming" before the fight broke out.

The video seems to show the women viciously clutching at each other's faces and hair as they wrestled on the pavement.

The duo seemed to shove and grapple beside a car in the queue. Amidst the chaos, one woman can be heard exclaiming: "You've got your babies in the car."

A male onlooker intervened attempting to separate the brawling women, joined by another female from a vehicle behind. The identities of those involved remain undisclosed, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The footage has gone viral on social media, sparking thousands of comments from stunned viewers.

One user commented: "Imagine having that much energy in the morning."

Another remarked: "Wow. Fantastic behaviour in front of your children. Unfit parent right there."

An additional response read: "Them poor kids witnessing this... shameful."
