A British Airways flight has issued an urgent emergency alert mid-air before it's due to land at London Heathrow.

The BAW98 flight from Toronto, Canada to London has issued a 7700 signal as it flies over Ireland this morning.

The plane has requested a priority landing at Heathrow Airport due to a passenger's medical issue.
