The royals noticeably absent from the annual Easter Sunday service

King Charles and Queen Camilla led the family at the annual Easter Sunday service today, but not all members were in attendance.

King Charles appeared in high spirits as he stepped out in Windsor to attend the annual Easter Sunday service.

The monarch, who is currently receiving cancer treatment, was supported by various other royals at the service - but some were noticeably absent.

Queen Camilla, 76, stepped out alongside her husband to celebrate the annual service.

The 75-year-old monarch was also joined by all three of his siblings: Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

Also making an appearance were the Duchess of Edinburgh, James, the Earl of Wessex, and Sarah Ferguson.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were noticeably absent - as were their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The couple's absence comes just days after Princess Kate revealed the shock news of her cancer diagnosis.

The 42-year-old shared the heartbreaking news with a two-minute video on March 22.

The future Queen said that she undergoing preventative chemotherapy and is not expected to resume her royal duties until she's been cleared by her doctors.

After the video was shared, a Palace spokesperson confirmed: "The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery."

Also absent from today's service was Zara and Mike Tindall and their children.

The couple, who also a son named Lucas, attended last year's service with their two elder children, Mia and Lena.

It is thought that Zara is absent due to the Thoresby Park International Eventing Spring Carnival in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Zara, 41, was snapped at the carnival on Good Friday - with it running throughout the whole weekend.

Although their parents were present today, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were also absent.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's two daughters attended last year's service - but the reason for their absence this year remains unknown.
