Presenter Sarah Beeny revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2022 but was given the all-clear last year. The 52-year-old property expert is known for such programmes as Help! My House is Falling Down and Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country.

The Channel 4 presenter has since addressed the Princess of Wales in a heartwarming message after the royal announced in March she was in the early stages of receiving treatment after a cancer diagnosis.

In a moving video, Catherine, 42, admitted the news came as a "shock" after an "incredibly tough couple of months". Details of the cancer have not been disclosed.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Sarah said: "I feel really sorry for Kate, but treatment now is so much better than it used to be."

The TV presenter, who shares the same birthday as the princess, underwent a double mastectomy and was given the all-clear by doctors last April.

She praised the royal's decision to speak publicly about her health, saying: "I'm really impressed that she came out and talked about it because she will raise a huge amount of awareness for people who maybe are a bit worried but won't go to the doctor."

Sarah has four children and has been married to artist Graham Swift since 2003.

She is a campaigner for buildings at risk and, in 2010, began to chart the renovation of Rise Hall, a Grade II-listed stately home in Rise, East Yorkshire, as part of Channel 4 series Beeny's Restoration Nightmare.

The Princess of Wales's cancer announcement is the latest health scare to hit the Royal Family in the past year, including King Charles, who is also being treated for the disease.

Buckingham Palace confirmed in February that King Charles had been diagnosed with a form of cancer, which is not prostate cancer.

It was discovered while the King was being treated at the private London Clinic for an enlarged prostate.

The monarch has since returned to his public duties with his son Prince Harry also returning to the UK this week for the 10 year anniversary of the Invictus Games.
