Prince Harry will not be meeting with Prince William during his current UK visit after losing his brother's trust by "mercilessly attacking" the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex landed in the UK yesterday ahead of today's ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, hosted at St Paul's Cathedral.

Rumours have been swirling around the possibility of a brotherly reunion, but one royal expert says there's no chance of that happening.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said Prince William no longer trusts Prince Harry, which has ruined any possibility of a meeting between the two during his fleeting visit.

On top of the already strained relationship with his brother, Prince William is also juggling his own royal duties and taking care of his family after Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis.

Fitzwilliams told Daily Express US: "William will not be seeing Harry. His life is pressurised at the moment with Catherine ill. He also has engagements this week, but fundamentally it is a matter of trust."

He says the trust was broken after Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle "mercilessly attacked" the Firm in recent years, pointing specifically to the infamous Oprah interview in 2021.

Fitzwilliams added: "The Sussexes have mercilessly attacked the Royal Family since they stepped down as senior working royals. The rift between the brothers is a deep one and unlikely to be mended in the near future.

"The royals will not have forgotten the ruthless way the Sussexes handled the Oprah interview which was so damaging to the Royal Family."

This comes after it was confirmed that Prince Harry will not be reuniting with his father King Charles during his UK visit due to a clash in schedules.

DON'T MISS:

Prince Harry's spokesperson confirmed there would be no meeting between the Duke and the King due to "His Majesty's full programme".

The announcement read: "In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme.

"The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."

Fitzwilliams previously told Daily Express US that the father-son reunion could have happened if Prince Harry had it "properly arranged" and "was staying longer".

He added: "King Charles will not be seeing Harry because of his commitments. His activities, as has recently been announced, are very carefully balanced as he is also undergoing treatment for cancer, so a further reunion will have to wait until it has been properly arranged."
