Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making major career moves in order to solve a "trust" issue facing the couple, a royal expert has claimed.

Since the release of several media projects after splitting with the Firm, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have seen their popularity plummet in both the US and the UK. Now, they have hired PR guru Charlie Gipson as their new Director of Communications and he will work as the main point of contact for the UK press.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes the couple is now seeking to give themselves a boost in the UK following several rocky years.

She said: "They've hired two brand new PR people, one to focus on America and one to focus on the UK to try to build public trust and regain the public's trust."

Speaking on Talk TV, she added: "I don't think these people have been hired to send cute little press releases every time Meghan sends a jar of jam to a D-list celebrity."

Prince Harry issued warning by vets over Invictus Games change

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's involvement in as the couple was warned veterans were tuning out.

Prince Harry created the Invictus Games in 2014 for wounded and sick vets to compete in Olympic-style sports.

However, one royal expert warned that the games had "lost their meaning".

In a chat with Royal Biographer Angela Levin, GB News host Mark Dolan said: “About 2,000 ex-military have left the games, as they say it's lost its original meaning."

Levin responded: "It's become much too royal. Meghan makes the speeches, she actually led a march where some of the ex-military people were either physically, emotionally or psychologically damaged, or all of it, during the fighting."
