Meghan Markle briefly set foot on UK soil for a brief and unexpected reunion with Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex landed at Heathrow Airport for a brief reunion with her husband ahead of their three-day trip to Nigeria.

It comes after the Duke visited London for an Invictus Games ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral - and did not see his father King Charles despite him being just a few miles away at a Buckingham Palace garden party.

Meghan was seen waiting for Harry at the airport in the VIP Windsor Suite.

The pair then boarded the British Airways overnight flight to Abuja.

However it wasn't before a delay to their flight. The pilot that had been scheduled to take them was sick and a replacement was needed.
