Meghan Markle will have to hold back her podcast launch as producers at the American network, Lemonada Media, are worried her audio project will be "overshadowed" by her upcoming Netflix TV show.

The Duchess of Sussex signed with the female-founded company in February who aim to help develop and host a new series, as well as relaunch her original Spotify podcast, Archetypes.

However, Lemonada Media is said to be concerned about the "scheduling conflicts" between the launch of its podcasts and Meghan’s lifestyle brand, 'American Riviera Orchard'.

A California-based source told the Daily Mail: "The relaunch of Meghan's Archetypes podcast got pushed back to 2025."

After an abrupt end to Meghan's Spotify deal, the 42-year-old expressed her excitement at making a return to the podcasting. A statement on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's website, sussex.com read: "I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting."

Guests who appeared on Archetypes, Meghan's Spotify podcast which was released in 2021, included Mariah Carey and tennis legend Serena Williams. However, the excitement of her podcasting success was cut short after just 12 installments.

Hours after the end of Meghan and Harry's Spotify deal was announced, Bill Simmons, Spotify's head of podcast innovation, took aim at both Prince Harry and Meghan and branded them "f****** grifters".

The new deal struck with Lemonada is thought to be part of a new era for the couple as they continue launching new business ventures.

Speaking at the time of the reveal of Meghan's new deal with Lemonada, she said: "I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family."

Confirming Meghan's new TV show, Netflix said that it will "celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship."

The Duchess of Sussex is attempting to make a comeback this year with the launch of the lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard and a slew of new projects.

The move has been criticised by some questioning whether Meghan is familiar with the topics she will be talking discussing. Royal author, Ingrid Seward told the Sun: "It’s a bit desperate. I think it is wrong to criticise it before we see it. But I am more sceptical about Meghan because I don’t know if she knows anything about gardening."

Despite scepticism from some experts about the new project, it has the potential to earn Meghan millions for her and Harry.

Speaking to the Express about the new venture, entertainment expert Mark Boardman was frank about the financial possibilities of the new show. Mr Boardman said: It's safe to say that with her star power and Netflix's backing, Meghan stands to earn a significant sum from these projects.

"Given the global reach of Netflix, the potential for lucrative returns is substantial and in the millions over each project."
