Lee Anderson's four-word warning to Tories in furious rant - 'it's killing our country'

Lee Anderson has issued a four-word warning to the Tories after Robert Jenrick resigned from the Conservative Party yesterday.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to reply to the announcement of Jenrick's departure from the party, which Anderson had been a part of until March this year, he said he felt immigration is "killing our country". His post read: " Migration. Legal and Illegal is killing our country. Please wake up."

It came in reply to Jenrick's post which said he "refused to be another politician who broke their promise to reduce immigration".

Jenrick's tweet read: "I resigned from government because I refused to be another politician who broke their promise to reduce immigration. Three decades of mass migration have utterly failed the British public. The costs have been covered up.

"We must end this disastrous experiment for good. We should return to the historical norm of net migration in the 10,000s. And the only way to guarantee the promise to reduce net migration will be kept is to introduce a cap which would serve as a democratic lock on numbers."

It comes after Anderson scolded the Tories over their election shambles earlier this week.

In a post on X, the Reform UK MP for Ashfield told the Tories to "stop blaming others" in a three-word slap down, and criticised former Conservative colleagues for claiming that "voting for Reform is a vote for Labour".

Anderson joined Reform after being suspended by the Conservative Party for comments he made about London mayor Sadiq Khan which prime minister Rishi Sunak described as being "wrong, unacceptable and ill-judged".

In his tweet he said the Tories had not been listening to people's "priorities" and criticised MPs for "blaming" Reform for Consevative election failings.

He said the Reform Party was "only party that will tackle these issues" but had criticised his own party before joining them.

Anderson has previously said it is "not a proper political party" and described its leader Richard Tice as a "pound shop Farage".

When he joined the party he became its first and only MP.
