Scores of stranded passengers have been pictured outside the terminal of a major UK airport. London Gatwick is currently dealing with what appears to be an incident at its south terminal.

Passengers are reportedly being evacuated from the building, with claims a fire alarm has caused the panic. Disgruntled people have taken to X to vent their fury, as many say they are unaware of what's going on.

Some have also missed their flights due to being hemmed into an outside area with no news on when they'll be allowed back in, its claimed.

Express.co.uk has approached London Gatwick for further information.
