One of Britain's most notorious killers is now back on the streets, 25 years after she was jailed for torturing a grandmother to death.

Sarah Davey murdered 71-year-old Lily Lilley when she was just 14, after she and a pal beat her in her terraced home and dumped her body in a canal.

Davey and her friend befriended lonely Lily at her home in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, before the brutal attack unfolded when the helpless gran invited them in for a cup of tea.

Davey - now in her late 30s - was locked up indefinitely in 1999 for what the judge described as an 'unspeakably wicked' murder.

She was released from jail on March 23 after a decision by the Parole Board, the Daily Mail reports.
